WEglobal is looking for Business Development Senior Manager for International Donor funded development projects to be recruited in Gauteng (Pretoria and Johannesburg) region.

General Objective

To perform duties/responsibilities throughout international development projects tender preparation process for EU and other local and international funds in a way to support the Project Development Unit and Growth and Diversification Unit in achieving its objectives and to support WEglobal to reach its targeted position at national and international level in different donors.

MAIN ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Project Development Tasks
  • Following business opportunities and support diversification target of the company in Africa region in different donors and sectors. Initially work will be confined to Southern and Eastern Africa
  • Setting up consortiums and joint ventures via identifying strong partners including local and regional partners that meet the required technical requirements in close cooperation with the Bid Manager in Africa region
  • Preparing the Expression of Interest submission, tender documents and other relevant administrative documents
  • Supporting any meeting and event organized for business development purposes with the potential partners and Clients and representing the company
  1. Overall Tasks for Proposal Preparation Process
  • Assisting the Bid Manager with his / her tasks throughout the bid preparation process as needed
  • The ability to quality control for the tenders in French language would be an added advantage but is not mandatory
  • Contributing to preparation of specific sections of the technical project proposals

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and COMPETENCES

  • Proven knowledge of EU policies and strategies on development cooperation
  • Experience in Procurement And Grants For European Union External Actions (PRAG) document
  • Previous knowledge of FCDO and USAID market would be an added advantage

Education:

 

University diploma from preferably administrative and social sciences departments in universities in which language of instruction is English
Work experience: 10 years and above
Location: South Africa Citizen or right to live and work in South Africa
Special Training: N/A
Computer Skills Good command of Microsoft Office programs
Language

 

Mandatory – Good command of English – reading, writing, speaking, comprehension

Desirable – Good command of French – reading, writing, speaking, comprehension
